Dallastone Ships 66TB  SAIT Digital Media Asset  Management System To Delorme Mapping

John Carey of Dallastone has just configured and sold a 66 TB Digital Media Asset Management System to Delorme Mapping Software (the Earthmate GPS people) of Yarmouth Maine.

The solution consisted of a 132 (expandable to 264) Slot, 4 drive (expandable to 8) SAIT library for archival storage, a Sony branded external SAIT drive for redundancy, Dallastone branded 4 TB serial ATA RAID, MediaBeacon DAM software, and Bakbone Netvault.  While we thought the total package price was a good sum of money, it was considerably less than the the EMC proposed solution, and just pennies compared to the airplane they purchased to allow them to get the map images in the first place.
